We Want Moore!!! Put the Work In Interview!!

Rapper/Athlete, Stevee Moore aka Mr. We Want Moore, has stopped by BigTmusic.com to discuss the major moves he has been making! Check out what the young legend had to say!

BigTmusic.com: Stevee what’s up man? How is life treating you?
Stevee: What up BigTmusic.com?!! Life is good man, and even through the hard times it’s good!

BigTmusic.com: Great to hear man! It seems like everything you do is on the highest level. You were D1 hoopin’ on ESPN, and musically, you were sharing shows with artist such as Juvenile, B2K, Lil Flip, Choppa Style, and many others. With the demands of athletics and entertainment, how did you find the time balancing the two activities at such a high level?
Stevee: Yea man, I’m grateful to have been able to share the stage with such talented and successful artist. I actually had to make a decision when it was time for me to go play D1 ball, because at the time I was signed to a label out of New Orleans. Shout out to Take Fo’ Records! The decision I had to make was to accept the full paid basketball scholarship, or stay in my contract. Thankfully the label let me out of the contract, and I was able to solely concentrate on basketball and getting that degree!

BigTmusic.com: That was a major decision to make. What are some of the craziest things you saw as a rapper on tour, and as a athlete when you were on the road?
Stevee: If I am to be completely honest, there were some things I seen out there that were crazy and completely out there that I just can’t repeat! I cannot really answer that without offending someone.

BigTmusic.com: Where would you say is your biggest fan base located, and what are you most known for with them?

Stevee: I would say my biggest fan base would probably be between Arkansas, and New Orleans. I did a lot of shows between the two places at an early age. At this point I feel like I’m starting over, because it’s a different more refined Stevee Moore, and it’s been some years since I’ve released any music! They would probably know me from my single “Bounce, Shake, Wiggle”. The dance vibes were the key around that time!

BigTmusic.com: What was the fan reaction and experience like when Bounce, Shake, Wiggle dropped?
Stevee: The reaction took off gradually at first. When the fans realized the song had a dance to it, it really started to take off. I started performing it at basketball games and other events around the city including Juneteenth!

BigTmusic.com: That was a good look for you then! How do you think Bounce, Shake, Wiggle would have done in today’s era if you were in your teenage years?
Stevee: I think times are different now. At that particular time, it was good to have a dance with songs, but I do think it would be harder now due to all the others doing the same thing.

BigTmusic.com: Do you have any new music that you’re working on, and if so, when is it dropping?
Stevee: For sure! I’m actually dropping a new single for all the hustlers, hard workers, and entrepreneurs! The song is called, “Put the Work In” and I’ll be releasing it February 16th, produced by L3DON (@eff_tha_clout)!

BigTmusic.com: February 16th is the magical date! With that being said, how did your song “Put the Work In” come about?
Stevee: To be honest, I was reading the bible about having faith, and immediately the song came to mind! A lot of people may not know it, but the song is really a song about having faith!

BigTmusic.com: That is a good meaning! What are some of your plans for releasing “Put the Work In”?
Stevee: I just wrapped up an interview with the number one radio station in central Arkansas, 92.3, and radio personality Tre’ Day to talk about the single release. The single “Put the Work In” will be releasing on February 16th, and the music video will follow on Friday, February 23th. I also just wrapped up a show at the Rev Room here in Little Rock, Arkansas! The turnout was great and the performance felt great too! The fans showed alot of love!

BigTmusic.com: That is so dope!! Glad to hear that you’re still out doing your thing on the radio and at live performances! Do you have any major features you have been working with?
Stevee: I have a major artist I’m in contact with, but as of now, don’t have any features. The way I want to do music, I have to be really precise about who I choose or ask to be on certain songs. I feel like the artist has to be on the same vibes mentally as I am to relay sort of the same messages that I’m trying to relay through most of my songs. I will be doing some collabs though when it’s that time!

BigTmusic.com: That is great to know. Who are some of the producers that you have been collaborating with?
Stevee: Don Dash Beatz right here in Arkansas is one of my go to producers! We usually mesh really well. I can come in the studio with him, give him the vision of a song, and he will put it all together! A producer I’ve worked with also is Beats by Buddy. He is a producer living in Atlanta, but originally from Arkansas as well.

BigTmusic.com:  What song have you been apart of would you say is your biggest to date?
Stevee: Every one song is big for me, and I say that because I never really know which song will be liked by who.  A song I don’t think is big might be liked by several people, and the one I think is the hit, several don’t like!  I just continue to put out the music, and try to treat it all the same, but the people will ultimately decide which one the biggest is!

BigTmusic.com:  What song have you done that you feel has been the most slept on?
Stevee: There was a song I did with P Town Moe out of New Orleans called “Dyme Piece”. I believe the song is still a hit to this day!  I actually might redo it and make it happen!

BigTmusic.com:  We remember that song! That was a classic! We have been seeing and hearing about the “We Want Moore” brand all across social media.  What exactly is “We Want Moore”?
Stevee:  Great question!  We Want Moore is about getting out of our comfort zones, so that we can continuously grow!  Most people get content with average or being good, and good is the enemy to being great!  I just want to encourage people to become their best selves, thriving and chasing dreams!  More people living with more hope will make for a better world!

BigTmusic.com:  Are you currently still involved with basketball, if so, how?
Stevee:  I am!  I actually have my own basketball training program. The program is called “ We Want Moore Basketball”.  It’s doing well, and I’m grateful for the kids I get to influence in a positive way!

BigTmusic.com:  That is great what you’re doing for the kids! What is the highest level you think you can still play at now?  Do you think you can play in the Big3 now?
Stevee: There is no way!  I tore my ACL in college which is why I didn’t go play pro ball.  Highest level that I can play at right now, is on a cruise ship 3-on-3 tourney with a knee brace!

BigTmusic.com:   Sorry to hear that. Injuries lead to some of the biggest “What ifs” in sports. Where are you the most at, the studio or basketball court?
Stevee:  I’m most likely at the basketball court right now, because outside of training, I also coach Joe Johnson’s AAU team, Iso Joe, but outside of that I spend time hitting the studio as well!

BigTmusic.com:  I’m sure that AAU squad is going to be handling business! How did you link up with former NBA superstar Joe Johnson?
Stevee: I’ve always known Joe because he was a hooper that used to play pickup ball around the town. He’s from Little Rock so him and I used to hoop in pickup games all the time. It was only right that we linked up.

BigTmusic.com: How can future fans find you?
Stevee: They could reach out to me on my new website www.SteveeMoore.com or through :

BigTmusic.com: Thanks for the interview. Wishing you much success! Any shout outs before we go?
Stevee: Shout out to you man for engineering my music! Getting the sound quality to the level it needs to be at is very important, so thanks! Also want to shout out the whole Team We Want Moore, and that consist of any and everyone that plays a part in the brand! God is the biggest!
